Is Mandy Moore still the voice of Rapunzel in the series? I can't stand her voice because I feel she's just playing herself and doesn't sound like an authentic Disney Princess like the Barbie Rapunzel does.
Yeah the whole original cast returns! Unfortunate that u dont seem to like her voice, always found her voice kinda pretty, especially for a Disney Princess. Not that i dont like the older ones, but they sounded more direct or commercial like Ariel, while Rapunzel sounds more raw and authentic imo.
Just listened to Pretty Little Golden Princess and it's really quite charming. There's almost a haunting quality to it like it's unrequited love which makes sense since he worries that the princess will not love him if she learns the truth about him. Now I wish Walt Disney had made a Puss in Boots movie with this song.
Yeah its a shame it went under the radar and is mostly forgotten, since its so beautiful. Any early Disney movie feauturing that song would have easily put it up there next to Someday my prince will come, Dream is a wish your heart makes or Bear necessities. Way better than those songs.
That's not Paige O'Hara right? It doesn't sound like Susan Egan either.
Yeah apparently the whole original Beast cast reprised their roles, with Paige Ohara still voicing Belle, just not the singing part. There was only this song and a trailer released before it got never released due to poor sales of the previous Enchanted Tales DVDs. https://youtu.be/FV7rqn2jjZ0?feature=shared (trailer). They even planned a third one with Cinderella and Mulan.
Thanks for letting us all know about it because unless you grew up with this record, you probably wouldn't know it exists.
youre welcome :D
And nope, but my mom had one of those as a child in the 70s 80s which she lost back then so i looked it up for her like 4 years ago and stumbled upon other disney audiobooks like this one that i found interest in as they were fairytales Disney has never done before like Hansel Gretel, Rumplestilskin, Red Riding Hood etc that feel like actual blueprints for their potential animated counterparts.
I think its so remarkable how Disney has never managed to get through with those adaptations giving that they are one of the most famous ones ever! Would have loved a Red Riding hood being made in the Renaissance era, 2000s or 2010s. But not in that moment, they would waste its potential or would change its core beats drastically
