There’s a new documentary about Faye Dunaway on Max. It caught my eye because Dunaway recorded new interviews for the doc. I’ve always been intrigued by her persona and enjoyed many of her performances. She talks about all her career highlights, but also the cancelled Master Class movie (!!including clips from the movie!!), Tea at Five, and yes, Mommie Dearest.
She’s also open about her mental health struggles and she seems to be in a better place nowadays. I recommend it paired with Be Kind Rewind’s YouTube video about her Best Actress win.
Made me want to rewatch some of her work— I haven’t watched Bonnie and Clyde and Chinatown in years, and I’ve never seen The Thomas Crown Affair or Barfly.
